 History:
Kloemprock started out in 1999, when youth club "de Kloemp" thought the time was right to start a small festival. It was a very small event with local bands. A year later, Kloemprock, influenced by local bands as Scarrots and Oversized, decided to make it a punk/rock festival. We started out small in 2000 with Travoltas and Belgian Associality, but today we can proudly say that the Kloemprock stage was used by : UK Subs, The Business, The Queers, Fabulous Disaster, The Real McKenzies, The Kids, The Casualties, Funeral Dress, The Briggs, The Punkles, Skin of Tears, Not Available, Randy and Bad Manners. During all those years, Kloemprock stayed to be a modest festival, offering alternative music to an alternative crowd (600 people) in a cosy tent! That's the way it was and always should be!
