Info:

Sun-0-Bathers is a punk rock four piece from Leeuwarden, The Netherlands and was founded in the summer of 2017. High speed melodic 90’s punk rock, lightning fast solo’s, and a modern approach of old-school slightly distorted vocals mixed with the occasional catchy “ooh’s and aah’s”. As if Zeke, Pennywise and Night Birds had an romantic affair with a quite pleasant lovechild as a result.

No, we don’t mean from fusion jazz to death grind, but from good old ’94 melodic punkrock to the poppunk of today. Against Time - In Our hands

Bio:
Against Time was founded early in 1994. The band started out playing covers of their punkrock heroes, but it wasn't long until they became more ambitious about their music and started writing their own songs. After playing the local scene for a couple of years they recorded their first album with Dutch producer Menno Bakker. In 1999 'And Not For Anyone' was released by Canadian label Meter Records. The record got raving reviews and the first pressing was sold out quickly. After playing all over the Netherlands (Willem II, Effenaar, 013, Doornroosje, Vlerk and many more), Against Time toured Canada late 2000 to support the album. Back home Against Time immediately started working on their 2nd album, 'Never Forever', which was released at the end of 2002. In the mean time the band toured Spain twice and played all over the Netherlands and Belgium pleasing audiences with their energetic and sincere emotional shows. With the release of 'Never Forever' Against Time proove they have grown tremendously over the years, bringing a mature sound in which they encompass all kinds of influences and emotions. Great melodies, great songs on a well produced album with which they can easily take up competition with likeminded bands like Saves the Day, Hot Water Music and Atari's. There are only a few punkrockbands who have what it takes to really stand out. Against Time has got it all; passion, melody, an emotional touch, intensity and most of all; great songs! Having played all over Europe and Canada, Against Time is a tight and impressive live-act with international status!

Official website

Info:
New Pokerface is a band founded in 2006. The band is hardworking and energetic and their music, of which they are very proud, is written with great love and care. New Pokerface sees that the ache of discontent can only be solved by taking matters into one’s own hands. Here is New Pokerface.

Already the band released an EP called ‘Act The Animal’ (2006) and a full length album called ‘Another Day, Another Religion’ (2008). The songs from this EP and CD were performed on over a 100 shows through the whole of western Europe in countries such as The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Spain.

Musically the band’s sound is comparable to melodic hardcore/ punk rock bands such as Rise Against, Nothington, Craig’s Brother and Propagandhi. However, New Pokerface is not a band that will continue with a fixed sound. New Pokerface believes that Punk rock should conform to its musicians rather than the other way around. The band is certainly not interested in establishing some kind of image or to live up to the expectations of their current listeners.

Interestingly though, their music has been positively received. The songs on their records are praised for their passionate intensity and intelligence. People often say there radiates an honest enthusiasm from the band’s music.

Thematically New Pokerface tries to write about topics that are universal in scope. Topics such as life/death, friendship, the meaning of truth or just simple daily affairs are likely to be sung in a New Pokerface song. The band believes that, basically, everything that constitutes the human condition is lyrically interesting.

Currently the band has put out a new EP called ‘SWINGERS’ which consist of five new songs. The new record is considered by the band to be their best material to date. Furthermore the band already is writing new songs for their upcoming full length album which will be out by the end of 2011.

What the future holds is always uncertain but New Pokerface hopes it will give opportunities to play more shows and offer time for the continuing development of their music. The latter always guided by their own sense of taste; the first fueled by the gift of their enthusiasm.
