Bio:

The band saw the light in Paris in September '99. It wasn't a group of old friends just forming a band for a laugh. A common passion for punk rock and music brought Lotfi, Saul, Digo and Matt together. The two years that followed the band's birth were exclusively dedicated to rehearsing and also getting to know and understand each other on human levels as well as musical.

Having constructed and established the band musically during a couple of years, it was time to become established in a live environment, which was achieved in September 2001. After only 2 shows, Matt made the decision to go to college in Australia and left in December 2001. This departure led to a long time of line up instability and constant changes of bassist for more than 3 years, paralysing the band in playing shows and making concrete plans of recording. 5 bassists got in and out while the band spent half of the time without any bass player.. That's what they call bad luck.

Despite the numerous issues faced over the last few years, we managed to share the stage with bands like No Use For A Name, Bigwig, Strung Out, Lagwagon, Coheed & Cambria, Lagwagon, A Wilhelm Scream, Ten Foot Pole, Satanic Surfers, The Lawrence Arms, Paint It Black, Undeclinable, Belvedere, Digger... in France and abroad and make a name for ourselves playing live.

Throughout the 6 years of the band's existence we've worked on elaborating a fast, technical, agressive but catchy and melodic yet punk rock. The basics of the formula were finally captured and recorded in march 2005 on the 'Emotions and Anger' EP.

Shortly after recording a couple of months later we joined Useless ID (Kung Fu records) on a long 5 week european tour across Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic and the UK, getting for the first time the opportunity to play 30 shows in a row and reach even more people.
After that tour Fab joined the band and has finally brought to Straightaway what we've always been looking for. Sweet back vocals and a big bass sound. The band is definitely set now to establish itself on the international punk rock map and has already inked deals in Japan, Brazil, Australia, South America and more are in the process as we speak. A new version of the EP is coming out there with a new artwork, new mix and mastering and an extra acoustic song.

In 2007 their first LP was recorded and released by Found Of Life Records.

But while in the process of writing its new album, line-up troubles surfaced again for the band when it lost one of its original members. The band was restructured, with Fab taking over guitar, however things hit an all-time-low in early 2011 when Straightaway parted ways with its original drummer, Digo. Despite the band’s uncertain future, giving up was never an option. Two months later, the addition of Phil on drums breathed new life into the group. After some major ups and downs, Straightaway’s comeback album, Last Exit to Nowhere, showcased the band’s more diverse and mature sound. Even after 14 years, Straightaway hasn’t lost its passion for punk rock, and with its newly released album on Effervescence Records, it’s clear Straightaway will be here for many years to come!

"Forus is a fast, technical, melodic punk band from Bayonne, France. Their sound is reminiscent of other bands which could fit the same description such as Belvedere and A Wilhelm Scream".

The band has released a demo, "Start From Zero" (2005), an EP "Aaron’s Revolution" (2009), a split CD "Coalition" (2009) and LP "We (2011). Forus contributed on Canadian legendary melodic hardcore band Belvedere (1995-2005)'s tribute album.

 Bio:

Canisquare is a band from the suburbs of Rosny-sous-Bois in Seine-Saint-Denis, of which 93. After being readjusted to Jamel Comedy Club, Clement (guitar-vocals) and Gianni (drums-vocals and first Italian evidence) set out to find the right bass player at the end of 2006. This will be Brice, a surfer frightened by the water while dressed in yellow. Together they begin to make jokes to return sacred Toto in her panties. They decide to call Canisquare, which means the place where the dogs are going to need them, for reasons that we try not to imagine.

Eager to pop / punk fun to Blink, the trio began composing and invest the boards of Ile-de-France, through a variety of jumps before returning to the studio in April 2007. They landed at the new school year with their first EP in their schoolbags. Since the dates are linked to them, with lots of rooms in Paris, and from early 2008 in the provinces.

Brice left the band in August 2008 and Ersan takes over. The band signed its first record label Fast Life (Japanese label) and a 15 tracks album due out in Japan this fall !!!!! Well yeah, is not in Paris that dogs have needs.In late 2009, the Group draws on a new member at home, a second guitarist in the person of AL Berry, former guitarist Crazyhead.Canisquare is on Smalltones Records (fr) since 2010 with a 8 tracks album called Canisquare VS Canisquare.The band is about to make the video for "Faceless Syndrome"

Hello, we set up this band in 2002 in Bordeaux, France, to make a almost technical, cynical, almost political, fast Punk rock. Most lyrics deal with music, the corporate world, the thirld world debt, the middle east conflict, greed, some inner thoughts and other shits.
Recorded one first demo CD "Pro Forma" in 2005 and one another EP entitled "Keep the costume ironed" which includes 8 songs, and one 5 titles CD in 2008 called "Share With The Class"),
all DIY, because the rules of the market, looking for a label and selling ourselves not beeing our best assets, we try to focus on the stage, well, good can only happen.

Born in 2001 in Aurillac (France), Straight Ahead was at its begining a four-piece band formed by Fabrice (lead vocals/guitar), Vincent (bass/vocals), Fabien (guitar) and Mathieu (drums). Mainly inspired at their begining by 90’s french punk rock scene (Seven Hate, Burning Heads, Sleazy Arse, etc…) and by californian melodic hardcore, their influences have evolved in direction of bands such as Samiam, Hot Water Music or Second Rate for example. In five years of activity, Straight Ahead have released a 4 tracks demo (2002) and a 6 tracks EP “The same way” (2004 dumb inc. records), appeared on several compilations and shared stage with bands such as G.a.s. Drummers, Burning Heads, Greedy Guts, Spudgun, Clumsy…

September 2007: After one year of stagnation due to Mathieu and Fabien’s departures because of geographical reasons, Straight Ahead is back as a trio with Guillaume’s arrival behind the drumkit. The band have begun rehearsing again and hope to come back on stage as soon as possible.
