That description applies almost verbatim to bands like MUTE, Satanic Surfers, Atlas Losing Grip, Belvedere, and many others, whose influence Heathcliff wear very visibly (and likely, proudly) on their collective sleeves.

Hailing from Siegen / Germany, the melodic punkrock - quartett For Heads Down had become a five-piece by the time. Since 2002 they self-released 3 records under the flag of SURFIN` EMBRYOS. In May 2011 Philipp Nowotny completed the line up, they changed the name and the guys - singer Philipp Nowotny, guitarists Florian Steup and Marco Müller, drummer Christian Kalmbach, and bassist Tim Steinert - began work on their debut record under the name For Heads Down.

Still strong influenced by ´90s punkrock / hardcore music, they produced and recorded Storm Warning by themselves and is mixed by Manuel Cohnen. The first full length Storm Warning comes out on October 19th, 2013.

What motivates the music of Utopia Now is the love of fast rock music and a passion for science and a scientific understanding of our world. The meat of Utopia Now is not in the music (anybody can write and play punk rock songs such as these) but in the lyrical content. Thus, I invite you to read along with the songs, to further explore the themes they touch, and to share your thoughts with others, maybe right on this page.

Utopia Now started out as a band in late 2006 but had been around in a different form (but with the same singer and songwriter) under the name Indigo since 2002, sharing the stage with bands such as Lagwagon, Anti Flag, A Wilhelm Scream, No Trigger, Good Clean Fun, Venerea and many more. However, despite a promising start the band was short-lived and split in 2007. Today the band lives on in the form of an online solo project by the band’s founder, singer, and songwriter, Stephan Serowy.

The music is distributed for free.

German skate punk act Money Left To Burn was created in summer 2010 by Andi (ex-Not For Sale), Marshall (Ex-Nineteen Reasons), Jonny (Save The Embers), Andy (ex-Good & cheap) and Alex (ex-The Phony Mc ring ring). The common idea was to bring uncompromising punk rock somewhere between old-and new-school, between skateboarding and social criticism, between brute power chords and detail-oriented guitar riffs.
