The endearing allure of punk rock standing the test of time, that is the exact mood arising from listen to the debut album by Curbside. Immediate comparisons to Millencolin, Down By Law and yes melodic godfathers NOFX are very much in the forefront of the ear canal. Hailing from Canada, similarities to Belvedere, are also quite evident. All i can say is it's quick and it really brings about an atmosphere of 'the resurgence' is here.

Most engaging parts of Curbsides music is the fact that they keep it fast, tech and melodic without yielding to the modern fascination of being progressive. By progressive i mean non-stop shred and odd time signatures all over the place, this band have certainly crafted their trade and know how to use their instruments. The technicality is rather intriguing after a few listens one pics up more n more of the almost covert nuances of complex skate punk rock.

The beauty of being able to belong to a genre and not worry about sounding the same as anyone else is the feeling given off, coz simply there is no formula, everything is valid, and these dudes got it right!
