Bio:
When Kurt Urban Karlsson disbanded in 1993-1994 after releasing 2 tapes and a 7'', 3 of the four members decided to make a new band and sing in english. Adhesive was formed in May 1994, by Geir Pedersen (vocals & bass), Robert "Samsa" Samsonowitz (drums), Micke Claesson (guitar & vocals), and Mathias Andersson (guitar & vocals). During the summer, they practically lived in the rehearsal room, and in September 1994, recorded their first release; the demo-tape "THRUST & BURN". The demotape contained 10 songs, and was printed in only 200 copies. The tape got some very good reviews, and resulted in their first record deal, on the infamous BRÖÖL label. The result of that unholy alliance was the MCD "YOGHURT" which was released in April 1995. The first 1000 copies were quickly sold out, but by then, they were fed up with the BRÖÖL label. The band agreed to make another printing of the MCD, but after that, they decided to end our business with them. You can find 2 versions of Youghurt. The label actually released 500 copies (1st press is the one with the green-ish yellow-is CD and the 2nd is white). Label decided to just scan and re-print all the artwork, so the quality was obviously worse.

In June 1995, they went into the wonderful, joyous "STUDIO INDOCAPTOR", and recorded a bunch of songs, meant to be some kind of promotion-tape. Adhesive sent it to almost every imaginable label, and the Umeå-based AMPERSAND RECORDS heard their prayers. They wanted to release a fullength-CD. The recording took place in the familiar STUDIO INDOCAPTOR once again, and the CD "SIDEBURNER" was released in March 1996.A single was also picked from the album; "ON A PEDESTAL" + 3 unreleased songs, was released in October 1996. A video was also recorded, but the producer fucked up badly, so it was never released. However, they haven't always been rehearsing and recording, in fact they've played live quite a lot, too. Ever from the start, with the positive response they got with "THRUST & BURN", they've been travelling across Sweden, playing almost every little town from north to south. Adhesive also did a European tour in November 1996 together with labelmates STONED. The tour was quite successful, mostly because of the popularity of STONED, of course, but Adhesive got the chance to play music for a different audience. It was a really great experience for them, and they hoped that they get more opportunities to tour in the future. After the tour, they were quite fed up with playing, so Adhesive didn't rehearse for two months. After the tour, they pulled themselves together, and recorded four new songs just for the fun of it (in March 1997). Three of the songs, "A Job For Real Men", "Odd" and the DISCHARGE cover "Possibilities Of Life's Destruction", ended up on the "PREFAB LIFE" CDs. Two weeks after the recording, Mathias decided to leave the band. They began, as a trio, to write and rehearse new material for the upcoming album. Being three persons in the band, their sound had to change to fit for one guitar, the sound into a more "punkrock" kind of way. During the summer of 1997, the songs for their new album, the incredible "FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: ADHESIVE" , were put together by their punkrock masterminds. As the recording came closer, Mathias, fed up with playing the drums in a Heavy Metal band, joined to them again, with only two weeks to go. Two weeks later, on August 18, they went into the, among contemporary punkbands, well reputed "STUDIO UNDERGROUND" in Västerĺs, and started the recording. Adhesive recorded for one week, took a break for two weeks, and then went back for another week to complete the album. 17 songs were recorded, 14 were put on the album, two songs, "Anthem" and "Heads-You Lose, Tails-I Win" were put on a split CD with PRIDEBOWL. The CD, named "NO BETTER, NO WORSE" also contained one album track: "Character-builder". The seventeenth song, "Whatever It Takes", was not released at all, because they weren´t satisfied with the result. In February 1998, the album was released, and the plan was to go on a short European promotion tour to support the album. However, due to different reasons, they had to postpone it, and they prepared for a tour in September instead, together with Swedish pride "BOMBSHELL ROCKS". They were all prepared to go, but about three weeks before the tour, Adhesive found out that Birdnest in Germany never sent any CD:s to the booking-agency. That European tour went quickly down the drain
