 Band info:
Originally formed in 2002 as a three piece band, Gross Misconduct soon became a renowned stage act with their musical versatility firmly holding them apart from others of the same genre. With the introduction of the mighty Hart Bothers in late 2008, Gross Misconduct had taken on a whole new energy and attitude toward their music.

So what separates Gross Misconduct from all the other bands you might ask? For one, they have no gimmicks. They don’t need to wear flashy neon or dress up like white kids at a 50 Cent concert, or sing about getting wasted to blow listeners away. Instead they channel true feeling and emotion through their lyrics and let the music speak for itself. No trendy haircuts or cheesy breakdowns here. The music takes the deepest nuances of melody, explosively mixed with pace, and delivers a dark Progressive Punk Rock sounding machine set to leave you more captivated than the current trend.

Gross Misconduct represents the future of Punk Rock. Their in your face performances and astoundingly well developed skills as songwriters, have help propel them to a level other bands toil toward their entire careers.

With the release of their highly anticipated E.P, UNFORGIVING SKY, coming in January 2011, time may be the distance but for Gross Misconduct it is only the beginning.

04. Fuck Your Flags

Remember when German punks impresed releasing their first full lenght Your Darkness shows us the light, that sounded so great. Now We Will Fly are back with second full lenght called Bangarang and they confirmed good condition.

We Will Fly don't affraid to try out new things. On Your darkness shows us the light they sometimes tend to drang out some songs with a lot of transitions and intros. That was good at first time. I'm very happy that this time on second full lenght they reduced it. Now Bangarang sound heavier, faster and more powerfull but it's still melodic. Well with this release they showed how should looks melodic hardcore in hight level. They inspiring a lot.

I'm still impresed how these German can play technical and fast. You can see this in first track on Banbarang. It's essential and smash you every time when you listen it. Next three tracks continue technical abilities . These songs don't loose intensity with great guitars riffs. Especially you can see that in Fuck you flags.Again like in their previous release double vocals make songs more stronger and add a touch.

Werid observation but The breather an instrumental song divided this release into two parts. Most of the releases in this genre start fast but ends weak. Not this time. Maybe they wanted said "hey please take a rest, next part smash you". I have that feeling when I'm listening this album. Lulabies and Cutting craks in a glazier's cage can define the band. These songs are simply amazing.

We will Fly is not only a band who can play fast and technical like 99 % in this genre. They are adding to their songs a real touch. Music and lyrics comes from their hearts. This makes their music more essential, interesting and varied (every song).

Info:

It all started in autumn of 1996 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, where Dan Edmunds met up with an eager and amazing guitarist named Andreas Kaiser. The two quickly recruited bass player Greg Blower, and drummer Ken Steepe. After a few local shows at high schools, Andreas left the band leaving Dan as front man. In 2001 lead guitarist Todd Paron was added to the roster, as well as drummer Andrew "Dobber" Dobson. Over the next couple years the band went through yet another line up change with the addition of drummer Nick Smyth and bassist Zander Gut. Finding the right chemistry is the most difficult part for this band. Throughout the years the music has evolved from skate-punk to aggressive, melodic punk rock. The first album entitled "Long Cut" was released in 1997 and it was around this time that the band became known for their entertaining live shows. About a year later "Sellout Skaterock" was released, which struck a chord with the people at Crack Records, prompting them to sign the band. In 2000 "...from the pages of Chad Muskoka" was released on the label, and with nationwide distribution and around 2000 copies of the CD sold, things were looking up. However, after many years of service, Crack Records folded. In 2002 the CD "Hoofin or Goofin" was released, which quickly caught the attention of Seattle-based 206 records, and was added to their compilation CD entitled "Punk Rock Vol. II". In 2006 the most recent album was released in the form of an EP entitled "The Illusion of Sight & Sound", which can be viewed as the band's renaissance album, as it takes the music in a more serious direction. Most notable is the song "The Heartache of William Robinson", which the band views as the best song they've recorded, getting a vocal assist from former Idle Sons front man Mike Eastick. Over the years the band has played some great shows with acts like Guttermouth, The Planet Smashers, SNFU, Jersey, Bigwig, Tsunami Bomb, Downway, Silverstein, Idle Sons, and The Reason just to name a few, in addition to an Eastern Canada tour and a spot on Warped Tour. Since then the band lost a bassist when Zander dropped out due to personal reasons. With the departure of Zander, the band has since been on hiatus, but that hasn't stopped Dan, Todd and Dobber from coming up with new material, as new songs are slowly coming together. The most recent of these being the new single "Serf & Destroy", as well as an acoustic side project by guitarist Todd Paron. "We are so happy about where this band is and where we see it going. We've grown up quite a bit and things have calmed down. Our focus turned to the music, and the message. We attribute the change to the state of the world, and the simple fact that we are always learning and we were all fortunate enough to have some sort of education that allowed us to develop our own opinions. It's not until you see more of life that you realize how fucked up this world is, and how we need to spread the word and take action in educating others about this unequally ranked society and how it blindly effects how we live. Although we insist our music is non-political, it's been said it definitely has that feeling. That's what is great about music. Everyone has their own interpretation. But nevertheless we've grown immensely; spiritually, personally and musically. Whatever happens from here on in, we'll be satisfied that we've found where we want to be, met some great friends, and we've grown so much together that we can't find the words to describe how cool it is. We've found why we started a band in the first place, and there is no feeling that can replace that. Thank you to everyone that has supported us over the years by coming to shows, buying our merchandise and telling us that our music has touched them in someway. We will see you all real soon and always remember to question everything and live for what's really important. YOU, NOT THEM! See you down the road." Shift-D

'Hold your horses dear cowboys there is more punk rock hell yeah'

It pleases me a lot that now we can find more bands that can revive those times when the Europe and the rest of the world were on top. Influenced by 90's they are adding nowadays touch.

Hot damn! Steve and the Alcoholics belongs to these young talented bands that definitely don't disappoint. MySpace is still good place for promoting some bands.

Steve and the Alcoholics was started by Steve himself a couple years ago and after some changes in the line-up they are 4 guys. In 2010 released new EP "Greatest Hits" which is their debut.

On this EP there are 7 songs. Four tracks are under 1 minute (A Knights Tale, Ballrom, Photograps and Skate or Die). First I thought that they added these songs to show how it will looks in future their full lenght. Imagine my suprise when I realized that these songs are between longer. I will call it maturity. With this EP is more fluent and audible. It's short yeah but even if you listen it once or twice you want to do this again. Big plus for putting these bonuses (songs) throughout the whole EP.

The first longer song is Beardly Crook. At first I have to say that is great example how the band can expose vocal abilities which are portrayed perfectly. With this song they slowed pace but this balance between fast Photographs and Beardly Crook can please every person. Backing vocals and some shots at the end of this song adding a real touch to this tune. Well it emanates an aura and captivate my attention for a long.

The common knowledge for this genre is simmilar sounding songs. Some bands are going to far with this. Not this time. After a fast Skate or Die they get us great situated Our Own Worlds . It's a mid-tempo song that prove how Steve and the Alcoholics can translate feelings into music.

Hi! I'm Steve . The last song on Greatest Hits is a fine example of a kick- ass skatepunk song. Stops and goes in the middle makes this song more interesting. I will say it again : great situated song. A lot releases in this genre starts good but ends rather weak. Well Steve and the Alcoholics don't do this. Big plus for putting bonus after Hi! I'm Steve It contains couple variations of A Knights Tale. For fun of course they are punk rockers.

Lyrics are understandable and fits great in the tune. You can read them from the booklet. With lyrics and with the names (Alcoholics, Greatest Hits) they proved that they are true punk rockers. It's remind me old times and some bands and their releases. I had a really fun to listen them.

I’m looking forward to what they can produce next. I hope to see in near future their LP. 'Hold your horses dear cowboys there is more punk rock hell yeah' in the end of Hi! I'm Steve tells us that new release will be soon.

Radicus - The Bigger Noise aut now

There's a Belvedere-esque quality to 'The Big Noise' that I like. When the band are balls to the wall punk rock, as they are on opener 'Family Fortunes', they sound slick, melodic and powerful and I can see them appealing to a lot of people, on both sides of the pond.

Boy Kicks Girl

Kevin: guitar &lead vocals
Brandon: bass & backing vocals

Start listening:
Boy Kicks Girl MySpace profile

Info:
From 1996 to 2000, this San Jose trio steered away from the safety of the mainstream sound. With zero record label support, Boy Kicks Girl played hundreds of shows throughout the United States, released two albums and developed a large following of loyal diehard fans. In only four short years, Boy Kicks Girl managed to support such major label talent as Blink 182, Tsunami Bomb, The Ataris, New Found Glory and Dropkick Murphys among others.

In 1997, Boy Kicks Girl self-released their debut album ...or something like that. The album quickly earned BOY KICKS GIRL local recognition, and set the bar high for their follow up album. In 1998 they released Public Display of Aggression and demonstrated their ability to surpass all expectations with a gut punching 45 minute punk rock ode to heartbreak. With popular tracks as "We Are The Now", "Little Things", "Denny's Girl" and "Antisocial Girl", the album quickly gained recognition throughout underground punk scenes. Both albums ranked consistently in the Top 10 local music sales charts, received national college radio rotation, as well as air play on San Francisco's LIVE 105 KITS-FM.

Boy Kicks Girl was noted for their staunch Do It Yourself (DIY) ethics and local music scene support. Boy Kicks Girl consistently produced and promoted shows in the South Bay Area assisting numerous local and national touring bands with showcasing their music. This persistent mindset, dedication and enthusiasm won Boy Kicks Girl Metro Magazine's 2nd place award for the Best South Bay Area Local Band of 1999 and again in 2000.

On July 18, 2009, Boy Kicks Girl reunited for a 9 year reunion show at The Blank Club in San Jose, California.

Hoppin' Mad -Inflamed

Info:
Hoppin' MAD, a three-piece punk/pop band straight out of the suburbs of Detroit, is Bill Burkle on guitar and vocals, Chuck Shermetaro on bass and vocals, and Jason Kohl on drums.

Hoppin' MAD began writing songs and playing shows in 1993. In March of 1995, "Slop", a raw four-song ride of fun and aggression, was recorded and sold 300 copies in two months. With this initial success came the attention of several independent labels, resulting in a two-record deal with Detroit-based Storm Records. New material was written and Hoppin' MAD returned to the studio, resulting in "Passed and Approved" (1996), which sold over 200 copies in one week and continues to sell at a steady pace. Hoppin' MAD was now labeled "Detroit's Tasty Punk Rock Trio".

These first two projects were released under the name Inspector 7, with Scott Lambert on bass. In 1997, Scott left the band and Chuck assumed bass duties. With a new bass player and a better attitude, a decision was made to change the band's name to Hoppin' MAD. (The band's older material is still performed and promoted.)

Due to popular demand, Hoppin' MAD returned to the studio to record thirteen adrenaline-filled songs, resulting in the blazing full-length, "Don't Waste Your Time", released August 20th, 1999, on Storm Records.
