Melodic punk rock since 2002. In the beginning there were five guys who were on the mission to keep the "melody" of punk rock alive. The founding members were: Doug on the drums, Eric and Tom playing guitar, Jo on the bass and Jan doing the vocals and playing the third guitar.
Never Been Famous started to perform as a cover band which was straight from the beginning strongly influenced by indie labels such as Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords.
In 2002 the band began to write their own songs. One year later Never Been Famous produced and released their first EP "Here to save the day" (DIY). Although the EP was a very catchy pop punk record it also marked a turning point in the songwriting of the band.
After a creative break in 2004 the EP "CHARGED" was recorded in one and a half years of hard work. The EP contained nine songs and was released in 2007.
In 2008 Jo left the band because of personal reasons. Tom decided to take on the role as the new bass player of NBF. Although it took a lot of time to rearrange the whole set the band also took this opportunity to write new songs.
