History:

Once upon a time, in a tiny town situated in South Bohemia, there was a band called Wrong Joke. This band was founded by three guys – Mira (vox, guitar), Roman (guitar, back vox) and Honza (drums). Wrong Joke wanted to play melodic punkrock/hardcore music influenced by the Fat Wreck/Revelation US bands of the 90s.

After a year of existence Wrong Joke turns into SUFFER, Czech lyrics are replaced by English and the musical direction becomes more precise and serious. The first SUFFER record „Shut Up And Suffer“ comes out in 1998 on the DIY label Samuel Records. This label, owned by a band’s friend, goes and grows together hand in hand with SUFFER for the next almost 10 years.

During some years of the new millenium the band recorded following 3 albums: „When The Whales Die“ (2000), „4 Happy Guys And Beautiful Girls“ (2002), „Thirteen“ (2004) - all released by Samuel Recs. There were also a few more songs used for V/A samplers and some ones fell into forgotten. For the official video was chosen soft-pop-song Secret Girl (Thirteen CD). SUFFER have shared stages with big-named bands such as: GOOD RIDDANCE, AGAINST ME!, AVAIL, ENSIGN, STRETCH ARM STRONG, LET IT BURN, BAMBIX, THE IDORU, etc. Cruised across the neighbour countries, have been seen and heard in some TV and radio shows, drank gallons of beer and wine and kissed lots of chicks...

Last year SUFFER celebrated 10th anniversary with a huge pompeuse live show in their hometown and released a brand new six-song EP „Strikes Back!“, which was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by the band itself… Energy mixed with lots of emotions, catchy mellodies, fun and joy… that’s everything what it is about.
