The band was born in summer 2007, in a small town near Verona (Italy) from a Pippo's idea (which just quit a band called Kalashnikov Party), and Ange, drummer of the same band. The guide line of the two is to give life to a project dedicated only in melodic hardcore style, Californian matrix, following the wake of bands like Strungout, Nofx, Pennywise and Lagwagon. Thanks to this last band, the two guys chose the name “Resolve” for the new project, looking at the title of a Lagwagon's record published in 2005. The choice was almost forced, because this particular CD influenced the two guy's life, not only musically speaking. Sisco, already singer of the band called Shinigami (another Pippo's project), joined the band quickly. After some researches, Cricco become the official band's guitarist and brought with him Manu (2nd guitarist), at his first experience in a band. After a few months of militancy, the last arrival must left the project for personal problems; took his place Taxi, ex-guitarist of quite-knew bands like The Special Guest(s) and Shape of Reason. From this last line-up change (march 2008) Resolve start officially to play live, proposing varied concerts among the province of Verona, Vicenza and Padua.
In October 2008, the band records a demo EP composed by four tracks at the Living Rhum Studio (in the province of Mantua). This recording session was published with the title “I SUPPORT RESOLVE”, free distributed at lives and in various skate shops (for example RiderHouse in Este, Padua), the actual band' sponsor. Nowadays, the first 500 printed copies are finished.
From June 2008 Resolve start the real live activity, playing in 14 self-organized concerts, accompanied by local bands (as for instance TwisteHead, Pletypus, Best Before End) and band already affirmed in the national (and not) scene such as L'invasione degli Omini Verdi, Actionmen, Temple Rents and Why not Loser, receiving a great response from the public and from the bands themselves.
The 4th track inside the EP , “Say right to me”, is inserted in the compilation Indiebox vol.4 "Yes we Punk!" and also in the compilation “Mp3 Goes Punk”. At the moment, finished the first phase of life's activity (it will restart in September 2009), the band is creating new material as pre-production, to record as much songs as possible within the end of 2010. The firm wish is surely to give life to an album of debut within such year. Obviously, Resolve are looking to a label that will be looked in helping the phase of production and/or distribution.
