Bio:
Here are the facts. Grayline was originally formed in mid 1992 under the moniker of Breach by guitarists Randy Benjamin and Ryan Gamsby, along with bassist John Winter and drummer Pete Ellery. This lineup lasted until July 1993 when Gamsby and Winter were killed in an automobile accident.

"Scared To Care" appeared on the 'Stereophonicus Disruptus - The Sequel' compilation cd shortly thereafter and the band decided to continue, recruiting guitarist Bryce Wilson and bassist Jason Morgan. A demo tape entitled 'Chyme' was released at the end of '93 and the band was gigging constantly. After the recording of the 'Locked Inside' album in mid '94, Morgan was dismissed and replaced by Randy Harris. The new album was well received and the band played many shows in support of it. The group subsequently became aware of four other bands using the Breach name, so in January of 1995 they changed the moniker to Grayline to avoid confusion with these other outfits.

Lots more live shows followed as the band taunted unsuspecting audiences with their "shitty songs and loser wit", but then Wilson quit in June to focus on other committments. Harris switched to guitar and Tom Piraino was enlisted to fill out the lineup. December saw the release of the 'Face Down' album and the loss of the bands practice space. The group countered by showing up on classic rock "jam" nights at some of the local bars to the obvious shock of the horrified patrons.

In the early months on 1996, Grayline issued the first in a series of crazy home videos documenting both the on-stage and behind the scenes workings of the band. After some more road adventures and a couple of recording attempts, Piraino was kicked out in October '96 and the band was once again relegated to looking for another bass player until Chris French stepped in to fill out the rhythm section.

With the new lineup firmly entrenched, Grayline set about taking their "four wheel drive punk rock" wagon train to any place that would have them. Several mini tours resulted and the band's unpredictability for onstage stunts and general over the top attitude earned them some serious notoriety and also aroused the ire of local redneck militias who were hellbent on beating up the band after the shows.

September 1997 saw the removal of Harris as the band began working on the 'Incinerator' album. He was replaced by Trevor Wilkins, who then subsequently left in February '98. Nick Petropoulos became the new kid in the stable as Grayline geared up for their next assaults of musical warfare and annhiliation.

The 'Incinerator' sessions dragged on as the band became unhappy with some aspects of the project and it was subjected to re-recordings. It had been mixed on four different occasions to the dissatisfaction of the band, as there were massive equalization problems evident.

The arrival of 1999 saw the band playing out less than usual, but still pulling off some very memorable shows and working on new material. In June the official Grayline home page was put on the internet. Its' success was short lived when the server yanked and deleted the site because they found it offensive and obscene. The arrival of the new millenium saw the release of the third home video and the departure of Chris French. He was replaced by Darren McClintock, and armed with a batch of nasty new material Grayline burst back on the scene to "lay waste to all rednecks within a donuts' throw".

The finally completed 'Incinerator' disc was released internationally by AMP Records in early 2001 and the band celebrated by embarking on a tour of Eastern Canada in the summer which swung through 5 provinces over 16 days leaving a trail of new friends, broken hearts and many converts to Grayline's quest for "supreme world rock domination".

The group were pleased to be included on the 'Life's A Gas: A Tribute To Joey Ramone' tribute cd released by AMP Records in September, and have contributed to a bunch of compilations which will be appearing shortly. Pre-production on the next album has already started with over 15 songs written and with fresh territories lined up for the new year and the imminent release of Home Video #4, Grayline are sure to make 2002 their busiest year yet. To insanity and beyond...
